Commercial Theft Suspects Flee in Uber from 1210 E Main St, Mesa

Summary: Mesa Police responded to a report of a commercial theft (487) at 1210 East Main Street, near Denny's. Two suspects, a black male and a black female aged 18-20, fled the scene in a gray Ford sedan, believed to be an Uber, with a bike rack or wire hooks on top. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Main Street, then north on Horn, and later possibly westbound at University. Officers attempted to track the vehicle using cameras and real-time information, ultimately identifying the vehicle as a gray 2006 Ford Taurus with a Georgia plate (Sam John Tom 0905), which was suspended and expired. The suspects were described in detail, and a photo of the vehicle was attached to the call. The reporting party later declined to press charges.
