Suspect in Vehicle DUI and Hit-and-Run Taken into Custody on Virginia Avenue

Summary: A suspect driving under the influence (DUI) was reported operating a vehicle recklessly near Wilton Place and Harold Way in Los Angeles, California. The suspect was observed driving on the wrong side of the road and was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle. After exiting and re-entering the vehicle, the suspect was followed by citizens and eventually stopped in front of an apartment complex at 5545 Virginia Avenue. Police responded, established a perimeter, and requested backup, including a supervisor, due to reports of the suspect being armed. The suspect was taken into custody at 5533 Virginia Avenue.
