Armed Suicidal Subject at Mildred & Strong Drive, Venice

Summary: LAPD Pacific Division responded to reports of a suicidal male, possibly armed with a gun, in the area of Mildred Avenue and Strong Drive in Venice, Los Angeles. The subject, described as a Black male, thin build, approximately 30 years old, was reportedly in a black 2023 Nissan Rogue with a temporary plate, and was last seen in the parking lot of the Venice Surf Club or at 100 Venice Way. Multiple Code 3 (emergency) responses were initiated, and additional information was relayed from Orange County Sheriff's and other units. The subject was believed to be suffering from mental health issues, including suicidal ideation and possibly borderline disorder. Officers attempted to locate the subject at several locations, including 114 Mildred Avenue and 3636 Purdue, but were unable to locate him at the time of the last update.
