Fire Alarm Activation at Gresham East, ODU

Summary: A fire alarm was reported at Gresham East, a residential building at 1017 49th Street, on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. Engine 7 and Ladder 7 were dispatched to respond on TAC 3. The alarm was reported by ODU dispatch, with the activation originating from room 377. Upon investigation, it was determined that the alarm was triggered by residents discharging a fire extinguisher in the hallway. The alarm was reset and the situation was turned over to ODU Police Department.
