Small Trash Fire in Gymnasium at New Era Academy High, Baltimore

Summary: Baltimore City Fire units responded to a reported building fire at New Era Academy High School, located at 2700 Seamon Avenue, at the intersection of Seabury Road and Cherry Hill Road. Initial reports indicated smoke in the gymnasium. Upon arrival, Engine 35 and other units investigated and found a small pile of trash smoldering inside the gym of the vacant school. The fire was quickly extinguished with no smoke conditions found on the interior. All additional units were canceled, and the incident was handled by Engine 35. The structure will require boarding. No injuries or significant property damage were reported.
