Domestic Disturbance Involving Physical Assault at The Rise Apartments

Summary: Mesa Police responded to a domestic disturbance at The Rise Apartments, located at 1030 South Stewart, Mesa, Arizona. The reporting party (RP) and her husband were involved in a physical altercation during which the husband allegedly choked the RP approximately 10 minutes prior to the call. The husband was initially present and speaking normally in the background, but later left the scene on foot. He is described as a white male in his 40s, wearing an unknown color shirt and jeans, approximately 5'5", 150 lbs, with brown hair. The RP initially indicated she wanted to cancel the call, but further updates revealed the husband had a cut on his hand and refused medical attention. Officers were informed the husband had a history of aggravated assault and harassment. At one point, the husband entered a park bathroom with a '423' (possible code for a weapon or object), but was not deemed a threat. Fire/medical was requested to check injuries, and officers were instructed to photograph the injuries.
