Residential Burglary in Progress at 2240 Pawnee Way, Reno, NV

Summary: Police and emergency units responded to a reported residential burglary in progress at 2240 Pawnee Way, Reno, Nevada. The reporting party's daughter was on scene and observed an unknown white male suspect, described as being in his 20s with a gray beard, black shirt, and black hat, entering the garage. The suspect was later described as approximately 5'5" tall, with tattoos on his arms, wearing khaki shorts and a black shirt. The RP (reporting party) was advised to stay away from the residence. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot, possibly taking a female's cart, and heading towards Fourth and J Streets. At one point, the victim sustained a laceration to the back of his head. Units cleared the garage and searched the area, but the suspect was not immediately located. The incident posed a significant risk to the residents and responding officers.
