Vacant House Fire at 31st and Brooklyn, Kansas City

Summary: A working fire was reported at a vacant, boarded-up one-story wood-frame house near the intersection of 31st Street and Brooklyn Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Heavy black smoke was observed coming from the structure. Multiple fire units, including Rescue 31, Truck 2, Truck 5, Medic 18, Station 18, Station 17, Car 110, and Air 1, responded to the scene. The closest hydrant was identified, and a working fire response was initiated. Fire was showing from the CD corner of the structure. The incident was eventually brought under control, with all clear reported and secondary searches conducted.
