Child alone in hallway during mother's overdose in apartment, Tacoma WA

I am the mother in question, I have 3 kids, including my son. I do not use drugs or drink. Every Tuesday at 9 p.m. I attend counseling after putting my children to bed. During my session my son, who just learned to open the front door, slipped outside. He is potty training, which is why he did not have a diaper on. He often removes them himself if I do not change him fast enough. He still baby talks and could not have told anyone that I was “high.” The claim is false and offensive. When I realized he was gone, my older children and I searched the halls. I even asked the woman involved if she had seen him before I called police. She denied it yet claimed otherwise. I was fully alert, not impaired, and have never been in trouble with the law. My children have never been taken from me. I am a loving, responsible mother who would never put them in danger. I request that this false report be addressed and that appropriate accountability or corrective action be taken.
